“If it’s gonna be, it starts with me”

 

My dad always told me this growing up. Nothing extraordinary in your life will just “happen” unless YOU make it happen.

 

Anyone can come up with an excuse of why not to do something. But it’s waaay more rewarding to set goals, map out a game plan and experience that gratification!

 

These 5 tips will help you become more disciplined in ALL areas of your life!

 

TIPS:

  • Recognize your weaknesses
    We all have them! Whether it’s junk food snacking, spending too much time on social media, etc., they all have similar effects on us. Own up to them and overcome!
  • Remove your temptations
    “Outta sight, outta mind” is powerful advice. If you want to eat healthier, don’t buy junk food. If you want to improve your productivity at the gym, turn off notifications and silence your cell phone.
  • Set SMART goals & have an execution plan
    SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely
  • Reward yourself
    Just like when when we were kids and got a treat for good behavior, having something to look forward to gives you motivation to succeed
  • Forgive yourself & move forward
    We are human and make mistakes. If you fall short of your goal, acknowledge it and move forward
