CREATE A TIME BUDGET

There’s 24 hours in a day, 168 hours in a week. If you want to maximize your life and reach goals, be wise in how you spend your time!

HOW TO CREATE A TIME BUDGET

  • How many hours of sleep you want per night?
  • How many times do you want to workout this week?
  • How many hours do you work this week?
  • What events outside of work do you have this week?

 

Organize a calendar for yourself and create a time budget. For example, if you…
  • want 8 hours of sleep each night (56 hours/wk)
  • workout 4x this week for 45 minutes each session (4 hours/wk with travel)
  • work 40 hours across 5 days
  • have 2 outside events (estimated 5 hours outside of work hours)
= 63 hours left in your week to do other things

Of course, everyone’s schedule is different And you’re likely to have different daily/weekly activities for yourself. But remember YOU have the power to use YOUR time as we choose. Be wise with your time!

Carbs are a major macronutrient and one of your body’s primary sources of energy. Some diets discourage eating them, but the key is finding the right carbs instead of avoiding them completely!⁣⁣⁠⠀

3 components of carbs: fiber, starch, and sugar⁣⁣⁠⠀
Fiber & starch = complex carbs⁣⁣⁠⠀
Sugar = simple carb⁣⁣⁠⠀

🍭Simple carbs = faster digesting⁣⁣⁠⠀
- found in: soda, cereals, packaged cookies, candy, fruit juice, etc.⁣⁣⁠⠀

🍞Complex the carbs are more nutrient dense, but not all complex carbs are always healthier⁣⁣⁠⠀
🍞Opt for whole foods! (ie: whole fruit over fruit juice)⁣⁣⁠⠀
🍞If you want more lasting energy, aim for complex carbs since they take longer to digest
